In exports through Pipavav, Delhi International Cargo Terminal (DICT) has added one more feather to its cap by sending a dedicated rake of Indian Oil Corporation, in association with NYK Line and in-house firm Boxcoworld Logistics, in November 2017.
DICT is adding more customer-specific orientations day by day by providing customer-explicit services for the exim segment.
The location of DICT is suitable for polymer customers for export/import of the commodity as per requirement. Customers in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab prefer the use of this ICD in Sonepat as it provides end-to-end services in stipulated time to support their requirements. Also, facilities like 24×7 operation, transportation services and dedicated rake operations are giving confidence to the trade to do business with DICT.
After the successful running of a block rake for LT Foods to Pipavav, another brand name, Indian Oil, has associated with DICT. This has given more confidence to the DICT team to provide end-to-end solutions for its customers on a timely basis.
The block train (Polymer Express) was flagged off with its rake TXBT-2 on November 22, 2017. The occasion was graced by officials of NYK, Boxcoworld Logistics and DICT.
The containers will move to China on an NYK vessel, which was scheduled to leave Pipavav on December 3, 2017 and expected to arrive in China on December 27.
This kind of customer requirement and support will result in more dedicated and improved services towards Pipavav.
DICT is promoted by the country’s leading logistics company, J. M. Baxi, and has 12 dedicated rakes offering services to ports to cater to the exim business of the hinterland catchment area. DICT currently runs daily services to Mundra, weekly service to Kandla, 2 services to Pipavav and 3 services to JNPT.
