Allcargo Logistics Ltd, India’s largest integrated, end-to-end logistics solutions provider, has announced the appointments of Mr Mathew Cyriac and Mr Eddy Bruyninckx as Independent Directors on Allcargo Logistics and ECU Worldwide boards, respectively. ECU Worldwide is the fully-owned international subsidiary of Allcargo Logistics.

Mr Mathew Cyriac is the Chairman and Whole-time Director of Florintree Advisors, an India-focused Alternative Asset Manager based in Mumbai. Mr Cyriac was earlier a Senior Managing Director at The Blackstone Group and served as its Co-Head of Private Equity at Blackstone Advisors India Pvt. Ltd till February 2017.

An Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore alumnus, Mr Cyriac joined Blackstone India in April 2006 as the second permanent employee. He is credited with building the Blackstone Private Equity business to close to $ 3 billion assets under management. He serves on the board of several companies, including as an independent board member of International Tractors Ltd and Greatship India Ltd, one of the leading oil services companies in India (belongs to the Great Eastern Shipping Group). Mr Cyriac’s appointment validates the company’s enduring commitment of meeting the highest compliance and corporate governance standards, emphasised a release.

Mr Eddy Bruyninckx was associated with Port of Antwerp as CEO for 25 years and was instrumental in strategising extremely strong performance for the port. Under his able leadership, Port of Antwerp emerged as a major logistics hub.

Welcoming Mr Cyriac and Mr Bruyninckx, Mr Shashi Kiran Shetty, Chairman, Allcargo Logistics, said, “We are extremely happy to welcome to Mr Mathew Cyriac and Mr Eddy Bruyninckx to the boards. Their knowledge, expertise and experience will further strengthen our position both at the national and global level. Their exposure and insights will be a great asset to the company.”

While talking about Mr Cyriac, Mr Shetty said, “Mathew is familiar with our business, having been an investor and attended the board meetings regularly along with Mr Akhil Gupta. Mathew has been a distinguished alumnus of IIM Bangalore and worked in the US for many years in the financial services business at Wall Street. We are confident that he will contribute immensely in achieving the strategic and compliance objectives of the company.”
