Maersk Line India in association with Grape Exporters Association of India recently conducted a customer and trade outreach programme targeted at grape exporters in Nashik on October 15th, 2016. The primary objective of this program was to discuss challenges and opportunities for grape export in the region and solutions for adding further momentum to the growth of exports in the region. Along with senior officials from Maersk Line, Mr Jagannath L. Khapre, President of Grape Exporters Association of India and Dr C. B. Singh, Assistant General Manager, APEDA, Mumbai were also present at the event.

According to the recent Maersk Global report 2016, the top export commodity by growth volumes in the first half of this year is grapes at 180%. (http://maersk.com/trade-reports-India). Maersk Line will continue to support the growth and development of the country’s Grapes exports.

Commenting on this programme, Mr. Franck Dedenis, Managing Director, Maersk (India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) said, “We would like to add momentum to the growth of grape exports in this region through our faster transits, multiple sailings, E-commerce suites, high-quality technical support, dedicated Customer Service and seamless operations. Our Remote Container Management (RCM) allows exporters and companies in gaining unparalleled control over the journey of the perishable cargo such as grapes. By providing these services in Nashik, we are not only giving customers control of their cargo but also helping them expand their businesses globally.”
