The Hubballi Division of South Western Railway has started loading containers at Sambre Station, close to Belagavi, marking a significant milestone in improving freight and logistical capacity. This is a major step forward for the region’s freight operations and logistical network, opening the door to further connectivity and economic expansion.

During the initial container loading, 45 wagons carrying silica sand—a vital industrial product—were driven 1,365 kilometers from Ahmedabad to Sambre Station. This operation has produced an astounding total revenue of over ₹40 lakh.

This accomplishment shows how dedicated the South Western Railway is to enhancing freight efficiency and assisting regional businesses by providing a dependable and affordable mode of transportation. It is anticipated that the start of container loading at Sambre Station will greatly.
