Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a series of meetings with top UAE-based business leaders in Dubai to attract investments in logistics, shipbuilding, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors.

During talks with Sharaf Group Vice-Chairman Sharafuddin Sharaf, Naidu showcased Andhra Pradesh’s strong infrastructure, skilled workforce, and investor-friendly policies. He invited the group to develop logistics parks and warehousing facilities across the State. Sharaf expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities through Hind Terminals Pvt. Ltd., particularly in sites with strong rail and port connectivity.

In discussions with Transworld Group Chairman Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan, the Chief Minister proposed collaboration on establishing a shipbuilding unit at Dugarajapatnam Port, part of the State’s broader maritime development strategy. Ramakrishnan welcomed the idea and discussed ways to enhance port connectivity to support such initiatives.

Naidu also met Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, who proposed setting up a cancer care and research centre in Tirupati, marking the group’s entry into India’s healthcare sector. The Chief Minister briefed him on ongoing efforts to digitise health cards in select districts as part of a healthcare transformation pilot.

Highlighting opportunities in tourism, real estate, and hospitality, Naidu also met P.N.C. Menon, Founder of Sobha Group, inviting him to visit Amaravati to review development projects. He noted that Google is establishing an AI data centre in Visakhapatnam, underscoring the State’s growing tech ecosystem. In a gesture of support, Menon announced a ₹100 crore contribution for building a world-class library in Amaravati.

These meetings form part of Naidu’s mission to position Andhra Pradesh as a regional hub for maritime trade, advanced logistics, and global healthcare innovation.
