Bhogapuram International Airport is likely to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the third week of July.

The airport project is nearing completion and is expected to become an important addition to Andhra Pradesh’s aviation infrastructure. Once operational, it will strengthen connectivity for the region and support passenger movement in and around Visakhapatnam and nearby districts.

Project Status

The airport has been progressing steadily toward commissioning, with recent operational milestones indicating that it is close to readiness. The inauguration timeline now appears to be aligned with the third week of July.

The project is being seen as a major infrastructure development for the state, with expectations that it will improve air connectivity and support regional growth.

Regional Importance

Bhogapuram Airport is expected to serve as a key aviation asset for Andhra Pradesh. Its development is likely to ease pressure on existing airport infrastructure while improving access for travelers and businesses.
