The business will introduce a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) on shipments originating in the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East Gulf, Red Sea, and Egypt intended for the US East Coast and US Gulf beginning on December 15, 2024 (depending on the loading date) and lasting until further notice. The cost will be $1,500 per unit for all freight types.

In addition, CMA CGM will implement another PSS, which will be effective from December 15 until further notice. This surcharge will apply to shipments from the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East Gulf bound for Mauritius and Madagascar. The surcharge will be $500 per TEU for all cargo types.

Furthermore, CMA CGM has announced the implementation of a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) for shipments from the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East Gulf to Mozambique’s port of Beira, beginning December 22. The surcharge is fixed at US$270 per TEU.
