The 9th edition of Cold Chain Unbroken 2026 (CCUB 2026), India’s premier temperature-controlled logistics summit, concluded successfully on September 9-10, 2026, at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport. The two-day event brought together global industry leaders, policymakers, technology innovators, and logistics professionals under the theme “Global Multi-Modal Connectivity: Across Air, Sea and Land for Pharma, Perishables & Beyond”.

Event Overview

CCUB 2026 served as a critical platform for addressing the evolving challenges and opportunities in the cold chain ecosystem. The summit focused on strengthening multimodal connectivity, accelerating digitalisation, advancing sustainability, and building partnerships across the temperature-controlled logistics value chain.

The event featured an extensive conference programme with multiple sessions covering pharma logistics, perishables trade, reefer supply chains, ocean logistics, CFS and ICD operations, traceability technologies, and green cold chain solutions. An exhibition ran concurrently throughout both days from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and solutions from leading industry players.

Key Speakers and Industry Leaders

The summit witnessed participation from distinguished industry veterans and decision-makers, including:

  • Tushar Jani, Chairman of Cargo Service Center (CSC) India, who was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at CCUB 2026 for his pioneering contributions to India’s cold chain infrastructure.
  • Yashpal Sharma, CMD, who shared insights during the preliminary session on India-EU temperature-sensitive trade opportunities.
  • Geetanjali Sabherwal, VP at Crystal Group, who participated in panel discussions on cold chain innovation and connectivity.
  • Rahul Agarwal, MD of Kool-ex Cold Chain, who emphasised the importance of technology and infrastructure upgradation for maintaining an unbroken cold chain.
  • David Polestyuk and other international speakers who addressed pharmaceutical supply chain resilience and global trade corridors.

The inaugural session featured a Chief Guest’s address and the unveiling of key industry initiatives, setting the tone for two days of intensive knowledge exchange and networking.

Conference Sessions and Key Themes

CCUB 2026 featured a comprehensive agenda with multiple focused sessions:

Day 1 Highlights:

  • Session 1-3: Opening plenaries on multimodal connectivity, infrastructure integration, and the evolving role of CFSs, ICDs, and warehouses as interoperability nodes.
  • Session 4: Pharma and life sciences logistics, examining how temperature-controlled supply chains must evolve to meet global compliance and reliability standards.
  • Session 7: Green cold chain solutions, bringing together industry leaders to explore energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy integration, and sustainable refrigerants.
  • Session 8: Accountability and traceability in cold chain operations, addressing the industry’s shift from visibility to end-to-end accountability with digital monitoring and counterfeit prevention.
  • Ocean logistics and reefer supply chains as an increasingly important pillar of global temperature-controlled trade.
  • Women in Cold Chain workshop and other specialised networking sessions.

Throughout the conference, participants explored how different transport modes and infrastructure nodes can work together more effectively to create seamless corridors where cargo moves reliably without compromising temperature integrity or visibility.

Cold Chain Excellence Awards

A highlight of CCUB 2026 was the Cold Chain Excellence Awards, which recognised organisations and individuals driving innovation and operational excellence across the industry. Notable winners included:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Tushar Jani, Chairman, Cargo Service Center India
  • Cold Chain Excellence Award – Critical Logistics of the Year: Jeena & Company
  • Cold Chain Terminal of the Year: Mumbai Cargo Service Center
  • Infrastructure Project of the Year: Recognised at the awards ceremony on September 10

The awards celebrated achievements in operational leadership, sustainability, innovation, technology, traceability, and global multimodal impact.

Exhibition and Networking

The accompanying exhibition at Novotel Hyderabad Airport featured participation from leading cold chain technology providers, logistics companies, and infrastructure developers. Exhibitors included Garudavega, OMNIA, Crystal Group, and other major players showcasing innovations in refrigeration, monitoring systems, warehouse management, and sustainable cold chain solutions.

Cargo Talk served as the official media partner for the event, providing comprehensive coverage of conference proceedings and industry insights.

Looking Ahead

As the cold chain industry moves beyond individual assets towards integrated global corridors, CCUB 2026 reinforced the need for collaboration across stakeholders. The summit provided a platform to connect ideas, infrastructure, and partners in building a more resilient, sustainable, and globally connected cold chain ecosystem.

Industry leaders emphasised that the future of temperature-controlled logistics will depend on seamless transitions between warehouses, CFSs, ICDs, airports, ports, and distribution networks—creating an ecosystem where cargo can move reliably across modes without compromising temperature integrity or visibility.

The next edition of Cold Chain Unbroken is anticipated to build on this momentum, continuing to shape India’s position as a global hub for cold chain innovation and excellence.

About Cold Chain Unbroken:
Cold Chain Unbroken is India’s leading summit on temperature-controlled logistics, bringing together shippers, carriers, freight forwarders, terminal operators, regulators, technology innovators, and policy leaders to explore the future of the cold chain ecosystem. Organized by Logistics Insider, the event serves as a critical platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and industry recognition.
