DBGT vessel handling capabilities were demonstrated with the berthing of a 6,724 TEU mainline vessel at the terminal.

The 304-metre-long vessel, arriving from Veracruz in Mexico with a capacity of 6,724 TEUs, demonstrates the terminal’s expanding capabilities in efficiently managing large-scale mainline vessel operations.

Strategic Partnerships

DBGT recognized the V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority for its proactive infrastructure provisions and strategic enablement, which continue to reinforce Tuticorin’s position as a vital conduit for international commerce.

The terminal also appreciated MSC Liner’s decision to route mainline mega vessels to DBGT, a strategic choice that bolsters the port’s global connectivity network. The EXIM trade community and the wider shipping industry were acknowledged for their continued trust and collaborative engagement.

Operational Excellence

Team DBGT received special commendation for their meticulous planning, operational rigor, and sustained capability to manage large vessels with safety and efficiency.

The terminal has reiterated its commitment to positioning Tuticorin as a preferred destination for international shipping and logistics operations.
