MV AST Malta will take 123 teus of cargo directly from Bangladesh to Italy. This is the second instalment of direct exports to Italy from Bangladesh. The first consignment of 951 teus was moved by MV Songa Cheetah on February 8 and has just arrived in Italy. This connectivity will help Bangladesh further explore European markets, especially the garments industry. Earlier it took around 45 days for Bangladesh exports to reach Italy, but now they are able to reach in 17 days.
