Gwadar Port in Pakistan, which is a key part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and is being developed as a strategic and commercial hub under China’s Belt and Road Initiative, has been officially opened for commercial shipping and is expecting its first vessel this month, it was announced last week, as per a report.

Pakistan has dispelled with demurrage charges and offered favourable warehouse storage deals to attract business at the port, the report added.
