India and Cyprus today signed four pacts, including one for air services and another for cooperation in merchant shipping.

The two countries also signed an agreement on Executive Programme on Culture Education and Scientific Cooperation (EPCEC) for the year 2017-2020.

The agreement was exchanged between External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Cyprus’ Finance Minister Harris Georgiades in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades after holding delegation- level talks at the Hyderabad House here.

An agreement on ‘Work Plan under Programme of Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture for 2017-18’ was also signed between the two nations, apart from a merchant shipping agreement.

In the aviation sector, the two countries inked an air services agreement, which was exchanged by Anupriya Patel, the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, and Marios Demetriades, Minister of Transport, Communications and Works of Cyprus.
