Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has signed an agreement with Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), New Delhi, for the development of Public EV Charging and Battery Swapping Stations at five parking locations within JNPA.

The agreement was signed by Gaurav Dayal, IAS, Chairperson, JNPA, along with Ravish Kumar Singh, Dy. Chairperson, JNPA and Rajneesh Rana, Head – Convergence, CESL, in the presence of HoDs and senior officials from JNPA and CESL.

The upcoming facilities will cater to a wide range of electric vehicles, including tractor-trailers, buses, cars, three-wheelers and two-wheelers, strengthening the ecosystem for clean and sustainable mobility within the port.

As a green-energy focused Central Government PSU under the Ministry of Power and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, CESL works towards accelerating clean energy and sustainable mobility solutions.

This initiative marks another significant step by JNPA towards expanding EV infrastructure, encouraging the adoption of electric mobility and advancing cleaner, greener and more sustainable transportation.
