JNPT and CIDCO signed an MoU with Allcargo Logistics Limited in November 2018 for skilling youth in Logistics and allied sectors. The Allcargo Multi Skill development Center imparts skill training in six logistics courses such as Heavy Vehicle Driver, Consignment Booking Assistant, Consignment Tracking Executive, Documentation Assistant, Inventory Clerk and Warehouse Picker.

The total workforce in the logistics sector is expected to increase from 21 million to over 31 million by 2022.  The sector will generate additional requirement of more than 9 million skilled workforce across all the modals-roads, railway, ports and aviation. So, the government and associated stakeholders including sector skill council, training institutions and logistic firms will need to ramp up their training capacity to cater to the growing human resource needs of the sector.
