With profound grief the Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI) has to inform about the sad demise of its former Honorary Secretary Mr. Nimesh J. Mr Shah served as Honorary Secretary of FFFAI for two terms and is credited to having brought in a structure and discipline making the organisation work truly on a national basis. Mr Shah was founding member & Hon Secretary of Ahmedabad Custom House Agents Association and member of various committees of Customs; CWC ; Shipping Ministry and Civil Aviation.

He also served as President of the then Bombay Customs House Agents’ Association. He was a trustee on the Board of both Bombay Port Trust and JN Port Trust.

Born in 1953, Mr Nimesh J Shah joined his family concern M/s. Jasvant B. Widely travelled, he was fluent in four languages and spent a lot of his time working towards the education of girls and for the upliftment of young women. He also very liberally and financially contributed to these causes. Mr. Shah was very down to earth, humble and concerned about the welfare of everyone with whom he had interactions.

A qualified trainer, he spent substantial amount of his time in training others in the logistics sector. He along with his brothers have set up the J.B.
