Odisha has secured investment proposals worth Rs 66,392 crore following a two-day investment outreach program held in the Delhi-NCR region, with the proposed projects expected to generate around 54,135 employment opportunities in the state.

What did the chief minister’s investment outreach involve?

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a series of meetings with leading investors and industry representatives during the drive, aimed at attracting fresh investment to Odisha. As many as 38 Memoranda of Understanding were signed during the two-day program, with proposed investments spanning key sectors including manufacturing, textiles, engineering and aluminum, offering significant opportunities for industrial growth and employment generation in the state.

How extensive was the engagement with investors?

Following the successful Odisha Food Pro 2026 event in Delhi, the Chief Minister held one-on-one meetings with prominent investors and industry representatives across sectors. During the outreach, 46 high-level meetings were held, covering discussions with representatives of 208 industries, focused on exploring investment opportunities in Odisha and facilitating new industrial projects in the state.

What other engagements did the Chief Minister undertake?

As part of the visit, Majhi toured the manufacturing facility of a private company in Noida and interacted with its representatives. Speaking to the company, he said Odisha’s industries, MSMEs and skill development teams are ready to support a new white goods manufacturing ecosystem with Haier as the anchor investor, inviting the company’s leadership to visit Odisha and become part of the state’s growth story.

What does this mean for Odisha’s broader investment momentum?

The state government said the outreach reflects Odisha’s continued efforts to position itself as an attractive investment destination and accelerate industrial development and employment generation, building on the state’s recent series of high-value investment announcements across manufacturing, food processing and industrial sectors.
