Pendulum Express Lines

Connecting Nhava Sheva/Mundra & Hazira to China & South-East Asia

Hong Kong-registered Pendulum Express Lines (PEL) entered the Indian common carrier feeder arena with a soft launch in May 2017 using fixed space allocation on the PIX service from Mundra. The Pakistan India Express (PIX) service has a rotation covering Singapore, Port Klang, Colombo, Karachi, Mundra, Port Klang.

PEL commenced business in 2001 offering various feeder services as a vessel operator, and today operates over 10 weekly scheduled feeder services in the South-East Asia and Far East region. PEL has regional offices in Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, China and agency representation all over Asia.

PEL, recognising the potential of the Indian market, further highlighted its commitment to this market and announced that it would introduce a new weekly service calling 3 west India ports. The North Asia-India Subcontinent (NISC) service will commence from July 2017. Pendulum’s partners in this service are HMM, CMA, KMTC and SCI. Each partner, including Pendulum, will contribute 1 vessel while HMM will contribute 2 vessels.

The tentative rotation would be Xingang (Tianjin), Qingdao, Ningbo, Singapore, Port Klang, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Hazira, Colombo, Port Klang, Singapore, Xingang. The first call of this fixed-day, weekly service at Nhava Sheva will be on Saturday, July 15, 2017.

With this weekly service, PEL as a feeder carrier will offer NVOCCs and MLOs an opportunity (which till now was not available) to have space and a direct connection for their containers from Hazira to Singapore, Port Klang and Chinese ports.

Aissa Maritime Pvt. Ltd has been appointed as the general shipping agent of Pendulum Express Lines in India, providing full-fledged agency services for this service from Mumbai, Mundra and Hazira. Aissa Maritime is a part of Abrao Group of Companies.[/vc_column_text]
