Out of the 111 waterways shortlisted by the central government for development, the Tizu-Zunki waterway no 101 has immense potential for development, detailed Sarbananda Sonowal. The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio has requested the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways to take up development of NW-101 so that passenger, cargo and cruise vessels could be operated. The Doyang Lake in Nagaland would be improved further to make it a tourism spot and attract enthusiasts for promoting lake tourism. Further, out of the 18 districts in Nagaland, 6 districts have plain areas where expressways can be developed.
